Anniversary
Mar. 7th, 2002 06:26 pm5 years ago today, J. and I started dating. Wow... in a good way. We started dating when we were 20, which means we've been in a relationship together for 20% of our lives.
I don't know how to continue this entry without getting sappy and/or mushy. I'm not good at sappy, and only occasionally do I do mushy well.
I'm glad college is over. College was a confusing place for me, where I didn't know what I wanted, and made a whole lot of bad decisions, some of which hurt people. I loved college, had a great 4 years, but there were some really painful and upsetting times included in that time. I'm glad that I've gotten to a place slightly beyond that confusion and the path I'm on seems a lot more clear. My life is not perfect, but I feel more like "me" now than I did at some points during college. I like growing up, even if it means growing old. And I like the fact that I'm not doing it alone. And I'm looking forward to the next step, be it buying a house, getting married, or something else.
Ok, that was a bit sappy. I apologize. I hope it wasn't too mushy.
