Apr. 25th, 2002 10:32 amI've always believed that you should walk a mile in somebody else's shoes before you judge them. So, this morning, I decided to drive to work without using my turn signals. I wanted to know what it was like, if I felt stronger, more powerful, delighting in my disregard of the feelings of others, spurning the very law that had given me the right to drive in the first place. **Evil laugh**
I didn't. I just kind of felt stupid and careless. I couldn't even follow through with it the entire drive to work. When I entered the exit lane, there was someone directly behind me, so I used my turn signal. And when I made a sharp right into my office complex, I used my turn signal so someone wouldn't rear-end me.
I don't think I'll try this experiment again. And now that I've tried it, I can feel better about calling all those people who don't use their turn signal stupid twits.
