1. Family reunion at Oglebay resort in West Virginia. It was a nice vacation, including swimming, golf, horse watching, ice cream socials, and some other fun stuff. Ariana had a good time, spending lots of time with her grandparents and other relatives.

2. Drove home in the horrible weather. Took us 7.5 hours to get home when it should have been 5 hours. Sometimes, all I could see was the car directly in front of me. Finally got home, ordered pizza, put Ariana to bed, and then found our basement storage area was filling up with water. Spent all night and this morning drying stuff out. Luckily, nothing more than a puddle, but it was still pretty damp down there.

Went to Home Depot to get a pump to help, and was told that they opened at 6:00am, and were sold out at 6:30am. I got a wet/dry vac and that seems to work pretty well on the carpet down there. We've probably lost a few books, but nothing sentimental.

And there's more rain coming. In fact, I'm watching the second coming of Noah's flood outside my work window right now. Probably we'll have more cleaning up to do tonight. Ugh.

suck. the rain hasn't been as bad over here, as far as i can tell. though it's definitely pouring at the moment.

let me know if y'all need anything. i have transportation again :)
