Went to work (on a Saturday) from 10:45am to 1:30pm. Our release is coming up soon, and there are just not enough days in the normal week sometimes.
Saw Spider-Man at 2:10pm to 4:20pm. It was good, but I think my expectations are too high. Any time I see two grown men in colorful costumes with no mouths, I think either Disney characters in the Electric Lights Parade or Power Rangers. I just can't take them very seriously. Other than that, and the fact that the CGI went too fast and looked fake, I thought it was a good movie. They handled the Peter Parker scenes much better than the Spider-Man scenes, which I guess makes sense. In the comics, Peter Parker is the more interesting character, unlike in Batman, where Bruce Wayne is the costume and Batman is the true identity.
Went to Wendy's at 4:20pm to 5:00pm. Spicy Chicken Sandwich plain.
Came home and slept from 5:30pm to 6:45pm. I'm not sure why I was tired today. Maybe it was the Bowling on Wednesday and the Golf on Friday. Or maybe I'm just a wimp.
Went to
jd7a's chorus concert from 7:30pm to 9:45pm. It was really good. The acoustics in the place (a church) were really good, and the music was non-traditional from around the world. I'm not a big fan of going to concerts, or movies, or anything alone, so I think I'm going to have to find a concert-going buddy. Obviously, J. can't do it, because she's up there singing.
Went to Chuy's from 10pm to 11pm. It's a Tex-Mex place. The food was good. The waitress thought she recognized us (she couldn't have, since we've only been there once or twice before), and was surprised to see the ring on J.'s finger. She thought it had just happened and was congratulating us. Then she realized that we weren't who she thought we were and was kind of embarrassed. I think it's amusing, but no harm done.
Ran into an old work friend that I haven't seen for awhile. We chatted for a bit, and I realized that we probably should invite him and his fiancee to the wedding. The invitations should be addressed soon, so that means we won't be able to invite anyone on a whim anymore. That should make things easier when we run into people. I'll be happy when the wedding is behind us and we can look forward to the marriage.
And now? Don't know. I think we're going to unpack some books and make the bookshelf in the master bedroom more full.
